This is family owned restaurant since 1960. A hidden gem. Excellent service and excellent. We have serious allergy issues and there was a whole vegan menu. Exquisite choices. Highly recommended.

Eating in Italy is always an art, but dining at Ristorante da Mario alla Fava is truly like visiting a museum, from the moment we arrived until we said "arrivederci." The two owners are continuously monitoring each table, ensuring every guest was having a wonderful experience. The maître d'hôtel Massimiliano is the real master chief on the ground, offering excellent suggestions with wonderful Italian humor. We thoroughly enjoyed all the dishes; all were prepared with high-quality ingredients and beautifully presented. The tiramisu dessert was a perfect ending, served in a half sphere of dark chocolate—a unique presentation I've never seen or tasted anywhere else. In short, a visit to Venice is incomplete without experiencing your restaurant. Grazie mille Massimilano

Run, don’t walk to da Mario alla Fava. The food was SO GOOD! And the owner is super kind. My partner is vegan and he had a ton of great options, as they have a vegan menu. I had omnivore dishes, which were fabulous. Frito misto was delightful, the pasta was solid, and the Bacala was yummy. I enjoyed this place thoroughly. We debated going back our last day for lunch but we ended up eating pizza at our hotel instead because we were lazy. Strong recommend!

My wife and I had an incredible experience here. They have a separate vegan menu that’s very impressive. Our meal surprised us so much in its creativity, quality, and attention to detail. A very special and unique dinning experience, and the staff and space were wonderful. The highest of recommendations from us, and thank you for providing such a thoughtful vegan option!

Amazing family owned business. Seriously - the owners & the staff are so kind, warm, & welcoming! We have been vegan for several years, so we came for the vegan options & they did not disappoint! Everything was absolutely delicious. 10/10 recommend!

A great hidden gem. The staff were simply fantastic. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great! I loved the history of the restaurant, the old photos on the walls, the Bellini of course and were very accommodating when it came to slight tweaks to ingredients on my plate. I was so very grateful. A fabulous place to eat in Venice and very reasonable prices. Complimentary starter and limoncello too!

A nice restaurant, recommended by the concierge of our hotel. Went for lunch. Outside sitting. Ordered baby octopus (8/10), seabass milllefeuille (7/10) and black ink cuddlefish (calamari family) with polenta (6.5/10).

We were recommended this place by our hotel concierge and it did not disappoint! I asked for a recommendation to a restaurant that was traditionally Venice cuisine and this was the spot. My fiancé and I chose exactly what the overall recommendations were on the menu. I added some photos for reference! This place was BOMB! Another really amazing thing about the place was how reservations started at seven. You are not able to walk in off the street, because all of the food is prepared that day. Overall was a wonderful experience.
